I saw in the forum that there was a problem with korean and Japanses encoding, and that it was solved.
Unfortunately, I think I just had the same problem type with WinXP and chinese characters, at least for some system directories.
Here is the symptoms : one of my customer try to install my application on his "chinese" WinXp. During the installation process, he keeps the defaul directory, which is COMMON_APPDATA. This leads, in general, to the "c:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\etc..
But it seems that on his computer, the default directory becomes "c:\Documents And Settings\All Users<Unreadable Characters>\Application Data
Thus, the new folder with unredable character is created, no shortcuts are created on his desktop, and our software does not work.
Unfortunately I don't have access to a winxp chinese version, so I can't test anything ! Is there anybody here that can help us ?
